The Studio Press, Direct Drive

These presses come in seven sizes and are specifically made for the printmaker who needs a truly "hands on machine". All models are designed to stand on any stable work surface and can either be bolted down permanently or clamped for temporary use at home or in the studio. We also offer permanent fixing stands at an additional cost. We use screw down stops which offer great flexibility for precise adjustments when changing locations and or fine tuning. Our special design top roller which is spring loaded enables the print machine to make slight adjustments when working with Lino or Relief styles. Our printing beds are removable, with safety stops making transportation, cleaning and storage simple and easy. We also offer solid Aluminum beds at additional cost. Maintenance free bearings and precision lathed rollers make our machines excellent value for money as they are ALMOST indestructible.

To get you printing right away we offer a variety of supporting art materials, such as blankets, ink and paper. When ordering please advise as to your art material needs so that we can include them within the order to minimize shipping.

Our presses have personality not because we make them by hand but we have found many of our loyal customers actually name their presses, because they are meant to last a lifetime.

Since we build our presses individually we can develop a solution which meets your critical requierments. Special pricing is available for each bespoke request. Delivery time for most standard orders are within two weeks plus shipping time for delivery in the United Kingdom. Longer lead times can be expected for bespoke and international destinations.

Small machines are sent by carrier at cost, larger machines are delivered and set up for you within 100 mile radius of Ironbridge inclusive.. Distances greater than 100 miles has a minumum charge of £50.00 to cover petrol and expenses. For the most part most requests are not too much trouble in order to get you printmaking quickly with total confidence with your printing machine. We also run workshops throughout the year. New dates are about to be announce shortly.

bed can be easily removed and although built on a solid platform, it is easy enough to move from room to room.
