Jenny has opened her new gallery and print studio at MerryThought and the Grand Opening is February 28th from 6 pm - 9pm.

Jenny, Dave, Liz and Rod Willis will be exhibiting their respective works for the 1st of many exhibitions which Jenny will hold throughout the year. Stay tuned and check Jens web page and mine for the latest details.

This year has been a great year for Gunningarts, Dave Gunning, and Jenny Gunning. Many exhibitions , lots of press sales, several major commissions and lots more news to tell you about for the future.

Dave has been working on many drawings , etchings, paintings and steel etched work as art. He firstly completed a mix of megalithic drawings ranging from very local locations to much further afield. Mitchell's Fold Stone Circle near Bishops Castle features as one of this years strongest etchings joining, etchings of Castlerigg Stone Circle, Stonehenge, and his home village Ironbridge.

Exhibitions have included One man show Waterloo Gallery Ironbridge, The Gorge Exhibition World Heritage Exhibition , Oakengates Theatre, Two Man Show with Jenny Gunning, The Stonehenge Exhibition Devizes Wiltshire, Trades of Bilston at Bilston Craft Gallery; opened by Lord Turner & Dave Gunning.

This year has also seen Dave working at several schools Catshill Middle School, Bromsgrove making a large oak cleave sculpture and steel etched images with the students. Also Merryfields Special School on Newcastle under Lyme creating a steel etched hanging for the school entrance area. It has also been the year that has seen the completion of four steel archways which are decorated with etched images created by the school children fron Ironbridge and Coalbrookdale Junior School. This project took over eighteen months to put together and has created an instillation within the World heritage site that will last for many decades to come. Locals are calling the instillation Ironbridge's' Iron Arches'. The archways were opened by Telford's Lord Mayor on 23rd of September 2008.

2008 The Tenbury Trail Project- Dave has been selected to create many polished steel etched panels with students from local schools and the local community.The panels will be positioned throughout Tenbury creating a trail of inspiring images created by the schoolchildren and the local community. Dave will be making a sculpture which will be situated on the Shropshire side of the river. The 'Shropshire Wave' sculpture will be made from sandstone and polished etched steel and depict Tenbury's many diverse trades.

The future heralds exciting events leading up to the end of 2010. next year Dave has his first Retrospective exhibition at Devizes Museum, Wiltshire; the exhibition will highlight the artists key megalithic pieces over the past twenty years. Dave will also be permanently available at his daughters new gallery on the wharfage down in the Ironbridge George. South Korea beckons again with Dave showing work out there in September in co-operation with the South Korean government. Another Retrospective at Bilston Craft Gallery in 2010 completes a framework for the next three years.

Private workshops dates and residencies will be announced as they happen.
