I continue to travel to record as a fine artist the many ancient sites we have left in the world. I am still particularly fascinated with British stone circles, standing stones and burial chambers. We have such a vital ancient heritage which I still record avidly and sincerely to make a fine art record NOW of what we have left

I have worked out in schools for over twenty five years running expressive drawing workshops. My drawing techniques are original and inspiring to all who work with me. I believe in the vital importance of drawing for all and have promoted drawing all my life not jumping on band wagons like many other artists. Fashions in art come and go but I believe in drawing as a basis from which all other art grows.

Dave's Thoughts

I continue to work out in the landscape with oil and large drawing and work in all weathers.

I ‘respond’ to the weather and spiritual nature of the environment I am working in. I still make art as a fine artist looking at ancient remains from Neolithic and Bronze Age times. Many people still do not realize the wonderful legacy that has been left to us. I continue to record what is left. Much is still unprotected and neglected, my life is dedicated to make art with archaeological remains that are quickly disappearing!

I have recently moved into Shropshire and have opened a small gallery and print workshop in the ‘World Heritage Site’ of Ironbridge. I continue to promote the vital importance of ‘Drawing, painting and printmaking’ through my own work and working out in museums, galleries and schools.
